My Second Performance
Lilla Varese invited her students to perform at Kean Coffee tonight. One of the student recital performances was by yours truly. I performed Sidi Mansour’s “Crazy Drums” with three other girls, including my friend Gaelle. Our performance was the second last performance of a 20 part lineup. Before the show, we all put on our costumes together and prepared our hair and make up. The next best thing after performing, is preparing for the show with the other dancers. After changing, we placed our clothes in my car. Between the excitement and nervousness, I ended up leaving my car keys in the car along with Gaelle’s costume for her next performance. Gaelle’s husband came to our rescue and called AAA. Fast forward twenty minutes, AAA cracked my car door open and we got our stuff out of the car. About an hour later we finally performed Crazy Drums, which was a ton of fun. The song is very upbeat and has a nice melody. The crowd got into it. The performance felt like it was 10 seconds long. Hopefully this was the second of many more to come.
